7/2/09 4:00pm Update: JDSP received 0.70" of rain and it's still raining. Should be great riding this weekend. Rain chances lower a bit to the 40-50% range through Monday.
Hopefully our trailwork team can get out there this weekend and trim some trail.
It's very hot when the sun is out so please bring a sports drink with you and hydrate!
WATCHOUT FOR LIGHTNING IN THUNDERSTORMS!!

June 20 - 8/10 has been trimmed from the Exit to Silo
The two large fallen trees on the Hare step-down bypass have been cleared.
May 29 - The beginning of Hare was trimmed to the 1st concrete structure as well as Silo and the 8/10 bypass to Silo
May 26 - Most of Hare was trimmed
May 24 - Osprey, Doe & Gator Hole have been trimmed
May 22 - Lake, Half-Pipe, Walden & Root Loop have been trimmed.
Gator Hole has a new bridge over one of the many root sections. Hand built by LarryG! Check it out...

Doe has a new wooden berm to help get up the sand. Check it out below. Nice work Larry!

A new stair-step down on the Hare trail has been built. If you're not ready to tackle the steps, keep left per the green arrow at the fork to bypass it.
Walden (not on the map) is cut and needs to be ridden! The new sign is now up so check it out. The loop ends on Osprey about 20 yards from where you left.
The Osprey loop is now 4 different trails...

1. Osprey (starts at original spot at the firebreak after Middle Ridge)
2. Walden (dry lake loop off of Osprey that existed before and now recut)
3. Root Loop (the southern extent of old Osprey that has several technical root sections)
4. Doe (northern part of old Osprey that returns you to Big Burn)
Note: Root Loop & Doe start very close to one another, so if you want to skip the rooty sections a sign will point you to Doe.

A downramp has been installed coming off the 8/10 concrete slab. Now you're able to ride over it, bypassing the deep sand and gaining speed into the horseshoe. Check it out...

- incorporating "DROP" signs into those steep sections for safety purposes
